Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a coven?

A coven is a group or gathering of witches. Forming a clay creation requires all the elements - earth, wind, fire, and water. By creating a piece of pottery is itself an act of magic, and by supporting the artist, you’re joining in on something even more special that’s created.

  • Do you take on commissions or custom projects?

Sometimes! If you’re interested in having something specific made, please email me at theclaycovennyc@gmail.com and we can take it from there. I am more likely to do custom work if it is similar to work that I’m already making.

  • Are your pieces microwave and dishwasher safe?

Short answer - yes. All mugs, bowls, dishes, and cups are both microwave and dishwasher safe, however they would preferred to be handwashed. Certain pieces, such as my geode dishes, are not food safe and will be labeled on their product page accordingly.

  • Packing and shipping

Please allow at least 1-3 months for all pieces to be shipped, especially made to order pieces. All items are packed in recyclable or compostable material, including paper tape and cornstarch peanuts. I ensure that each piece is packed as safely as possible, but sometimes accidents happen. If you receive a broken piece, please email me at theclaycovennyc@gmail.com and we can figure it out from there.

  • Where are you located?

I live in Brooklyn! I make all of my work in both Brooklyn and NYC.

  • What do your cats look like?

Wonderful question! I would love to show you! Beetle is all black and Gizmo is a tabby - see below!
